Genette Dahlby - CHOREOGRAPHER

At last year’s DWTS event, I was in the audience cheering the dancers on.  What a fun event it proved to be, and all for such a worthy cause!  This year, I have  stepped COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF MY COMFORT ZONE to join the actual dancers on stage.  I have no dance experience (and apparently little or no coordination skills, if our practice sessions are any indication).  However, I am still honored to be part of this exciting event.   Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Virginia is a vital part of what makes our community great.  We are neighbors helping neighbors, mentors reaching out to children who can benefit from additional guidance that may not otherwise be there.  We grow our next generation of community citizens by nurturing our children of today.  Big Brothers/Big  Sisters does all of that and more.  Please join us in supporting that cause.  AND - - - Rufus, Genette and I would LOVE to have your vote!  It will be a vote in honor of mentoring, courage, and new experiences!

Choreographing for Dancing with the Lynchburg Stars has become a tradition for Genette as this is her 5th year and hoping for a 2nd trophy for her couple, Jan Walker and Rufus Chappell. She believes whole heartily in Big Brothers, Big Sisters as she has been a Big in the past and saw the benefit in the program in her Little and in herself.
